Food: Green Chutney Recipe

In North India, a restaurant or home-cooked meal is often judged by its green chutney. Making green chutney might look easy, but it’s actually an art, as the ingredients are too few to call it a complex condiment.

Chaotic Connection

My mind is playing visual charades. Not a single visual I remember, such is the haste of the chaos. I want to pause the chaos, slow it down, let it linger in my mind so that I can savor those visuals, because somewhere deep I know, that those visuals are mine. Each is full of craving, guilt, angst, love, passion, dreams, longing, revenge, ego, past, smiles, hesitance, and regret.

Hotel Review: Adivaha Resort Dharamshala

Adivaha is in itself a destination. It offers an escape to a different world. Nestled away in the lap of nature, it is a place that beckons you to let go of the hustle and bustle of the city and just be. Here, the air is fresh, the landscape lush, the stars twinkle brightly above you, and the gentle sound of flutes fills the air with a melodic hum.

Callous: A Fiction

Fate is a funny thing. When you try to make your own destiny, serendipity does help, apart from your determination and nerve. But when things start moving away from your clutch, everything start crumbling. Murphy’s law, right? Nope. Fate.

Fiction: I feel lonely with you

There was not an iota of me in me. Me was rogered. I was sandpapered into a million desires that screamed of just you. You were everywhere. Eyes saw you, palm felt you, eyes drank you, palm ravened you, eyes savoured you, palm clinched you. You always knew my cravings were not short-lived. And you tempted me all the more.

Fiction: I Love Delhi

This was written about 16 years back (2006) for a newspaper competition whose theme was – I Love Delhi. I had always been infatuated with Delhi – its history, culture, architecture, hidden gems, people, the diversity, underbelly, food and the confluence of many worlds that resided inside.

Insecurity germinates ego

The 20s is an age of practical learning when we join the workforce after college. Everyone from colleagues to seniors seems to guide us, mentor us, give nuggets of wisdom from their experiences. In the sea of information, we do carry a significant amount of learnings as we grow older.

A Himalayan Sojourn of Five Senses

This was my first article published in Platform Magazine in November 2006. This poetry was written on a trip to Manali in Fall 2006 with a group of friends. As we reached the hotel after a 15 hour drive, everyone went to take a nap, while I took a walk around the garden area of the resort and sat beside the rushing river Beas at a beautiful nook. That foggy evening was perfect setting for me to write this in one go, probably in an hour. Later my friends named this nook – Writers Point.

Fairmont Fujairah: A Piece of Positano in the UAE

The towering fort like building in its beige glory stands complete contrast to the deep blue ocean. The sea facing rooms open to a large balcony with vistas of Arabian Sea. This is an ideal location that provides the full expanse view of the sea as far as you could see. Somewhat like Positano with the same deep blue waters, clean skies, and white sand

An Odyssey of Language

The noun and definitive article were stuck when verb came for the rescue. They pulled it off quite well, until they ran out of breath. Full stop hurled a red flag to their odyssey. They started again, with preposition and ampersand as their new ally. Along came adjective to exaggerate each noun.

A Coffee Person

Dubai has got so many hipster cafes, roasteries and even a coffee museum that one can easily convert into a coffee person. I would take tours of roasteries and taste different espressos and experience coffee-making processes like Syphon, Chemex, Moka Pot, Aeropress etc.

Brij Coffeetable Book

The solemn air still carries the sweet music that came from Lord Krishna’s flute, the chirping of birds is resonant of hymns from Sama Veda, the sand on the blissful ground bear the hues of love and peace, the meditating groves are abloom with spirituality, while reverent water bodies are brimming with nectar and lotuses. Truly, this could only be Lord Krishna’s abode.

Press Release: Ascots & Chapel Heritage Redefined

Wearing a three-piece suit is a classic style that never goes out of trend ever, projecting classic refinement and sophisticated panache. However, there is a paradigm shift in the way gentlemen are dressing up in today’s times. Comfort takes precedence over flair while a bit of unconventional composition in the wardrobe is making the modern man creative and progressive.

Artists

It’s sacrilege to call ourselves designers or writers. We are artists. There’s a larger role of artists in the society than a mere creative expression of their craft.

Radio Spots

Writing Radio Scripts gives me a high, because it’s a narrative and conversational, unlike writing for ads where it’s static. Narratives also bring out regional or native lingo, expressions and phrases, which is fun to work on, as it is insightful of how people speak, react or express.
